As a seasonal full time ski instructor, I am responsible for the safety and wellbeing of my clients while on the hill. Besides teaching clients, who are 3yrs old and above, I also guide them through different types of terrain, assess their skills and development and apply situationally appropriate tasks. While most of our clientele are holiday goers, the resort offers multiple-week programs that enable individuals and families who live nearby to receive continuous coaching and development. One such program is the 8-week Bow Valley Kids Juniors (3-5yrs) program on weekends, of which I am part of. This program enables us to interact with the same clients on a regular basis to introduce them to skiing as well as further facilitating their goals.

I was selected to work within the Internal Audit department of the PSBA, a new branch of government in Queensland, as a part of the University of Queensland’s Internship Placement Program. During my time here I wrote a report regarding the applicability of internal audit practices of private sector companies within the public sector as a part of my research project. I also worked with the department on the implementation of the Portfolio Secretariat for the Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Part-time work where my duties included vet assistance, reception and stock management.

During my work experience at Hill & Associates I was asked to carry out data entry and taught basic due diligence in support of their corporate investigations practice.

For this period I worked part-time as an administrator where my duties included receptionist tasks, filing, data entry and basic investigation and research tasks related to the protection of intellectual property rights as well as due diligence and invoicing.
