World Fisheries Trust and its partners- Associacion Faunagua and Agua Sustentable- are implementing a project in Bolivia that is looking at improving food security in the Bolivian Amazon through improved fisheries and aquaculture. As a Fisheries Management Social Researcher and Project Officer, I will help guide and implement social surveys, social mapping, and participative training workshops with communities. Not only will I participate in biological sampling, I will also bring in themes of gender, social capital, and organizational collaboration to discuss as a research team. Based primarily in Bolivia, one of my responsibilities it to liaise with the Canadian office to ensure smooth collaboration and communication on all aspects of the project.
