PhD Thesis: Software Systems for Large-Scale Retrospective Video Analytics • Built an analytics engine answering spatio-temporal object re-identification queries on city-scale cameras that runs at 830× video realtime. • Built an analytics engine for querying videos stored on low-cost, zero-streaming surveillance cameras that runs queries at more than 100× video realtime. • Built a data store for supporting fast, resource-efficient analytics over large archival videos, which orchestrates video ingestion, storage, retrieval, and consumption and runs queries of up to 362× of video real-time.

Advised by Prof. T. P. Ma (Elected Member of National Academy of Science in USA, IEEE Fellow), I conducted the simulation and test of Hafnium Oxide (HfO2)-based Metal-Ferroelectric-Metal (MFM) Capacitors and Transistors. Description: I simulated polarization characteristics based on Sawyer-Tower Circuit, in which the MFM capacitor’s behavior is depicted by Presaich Model. I also measured the MFM devices using Keithley 4200 Semiconductor Characterization System and detected the wake-up effect of the Al-dopant HfO2-based MFM capacitors. This discovery provides an essential prerequisite of avoiding breakdown and enhances the stability of ferroelectric devices. I also simulated the interfacial layer’s potential effect of the ferroelectric field-effect transistor (FeFET) with TCAD Sentaurus. My analysis suggested that during fabrication, the reduction of the interfacial layer’s thickness in FeFET significantly improves the storage ability of FEDRAM.
