Catherine Thompson

I’m a Packaging Engineer in MedTech who works at the intersection of engineering, project management, and regulatory execution. Over the past 5+ years, I’ve led and supported packaging and labeling initiatives for medical devices, owning everything from label creation and PLM workflows to cross-functional project coordination. I’ve completed and supported multiple engineering change orders, managed labeling updates under MDR requirements, and helped improve how teams scope, track, and execute work. I naturally gravitate toward organizing complexity. I’ve built systems to track project inputs, improved data categorization for better planning, and stepped into leadership roles as a resource manager and team backup, presenting insights and driving alignment across teams. I’m one of the few engineers on my team trained across multiple systems, including Windchill PLM, enLabel, and CAD tools. That allows me to move quickly between technical execution and big-picture coordination. Right now, I’m focused on continuing to grow into project management, leading initiatives, improving workflows, and helping teams deliver faster and more clearly in highly regulated environments.
