CEO with multiple hats
My goal in SaaS was to restructure and recreate the former Techstars startup and make it a profitable business in the corporate gifting field. After a year of hard work, multiple new clients, and reaching profitability, we decided together with the owner, Raino Raasuke, to halt the operations and close the company. The costs to improve the platform would have been too high, and the risk of a future recession was formidable (corporate gifting is a nice-to-have, not a must-be element for most companies). Instead, we reached a strategic decision and decided to direct the investment to NoCry, where I again joined forces with Raino.

Head of Chain Management EE
Tallinn, Harjumaa, Estonia
Barbora is one of the first e-groceries home-delivery companies in Estonia and one of the largest in Baltics. In Barbora I was responsible for all of the operations and processes from order to delivery - including management of quality KPIs, budget and expansion in EE market. Achievments in Barbora mostly concerned change management: - launched development and expansion projects for all EE picking centers to increase picking quantities - implemented quality control processes in all EE picking centers to reduce picking errors - created and implemented employee onboarding roadmap to reduce employee churn in the picking centers

Founder
Startup endeavors (Hive aka. Moblution and EarthNotMars) - both inactive (Moblution was pivoted)
Estonia
As both ideas were really attractive to me, then my goal was to get accepted to the startup accelerators with at least one of them. Hive was an intelligent scooter charging system aimed to disrupt the e-scooter and e-bikes battery charging economy. Our main goal was to cooperate with rental companies and city governments to eventually build a one-for-all charging network for all of the rental operators in the cities. We were accepted to Prototron and Tehnopol incubators with this idea and got valuable support from Estonian top entrepreneurs, leaders and startup mentors. We also managed to test our product with Estonian startups flagship - Bolt. In order to get a better insight about startup development then during my time with Hive I also helped to build a startup called Handies. Both experiences complemented each other and helped me to understand startup growth stages and build a startup by-the-book. However, Hive team split up after one year of hard work and the founders took another focus in their individual career. EarthNotMars was a platform that could be used for calculating your personal or your business’s ecological footprint, and for planting trees to available plots of land across the world to create a sustainable woodprint instead. We managed to book approx 100ha of unused land from farmers and municipalities where the trees would be planted. Unfortunately, sustainability market was rising to the top with multiple competitors in 2020 summer and we were not able to join any of the business accelerators with our business plan and the idea. Launching and starting with these endeavors gave me valuable lessons about startup economy, teamwork and building a product and business from scratch. Working closely together with different individuals gave me a good understanding what fundamentals are needed to build a killer product, business and a unicorn. - Most valuable lesson: starting with the right team is a question for survival for a starting company.

One of the hottest potential unicorns in the market! My goal in Handies was to make it a desirable company for investors and clean up the cap table on my way there - which both came true. During my time at Handies I lead it to grow to largest SaaS platforms on their area at EE (from 500 to over 10000 users and counting) and managed to improve MRR from 0 to 3000€ in 5 months. A great springboard for conquering the world. If you have some questions about Handies and its plans, then hit me up!
