I am the Founder & CEO of Sunrise Financial, a clean energy finance platform built to make solar accessible to more families by underwriting to real household energy savings—not credit scores. Sunrise Financial is focused on powering savings, financing the future, and building durable solar assets with household-first economics. I previously founded PosiGen in 2011 and served as CEO until June 2023, leading the company in its mission to improve the lives of low-to-moderate income homeowners through solar and energy efficiency. During that time, PosiGen became one of America’s fastest-growing energy companies, raised over $900 million in equity and tax equity, deployed more than 30,000 solar solutions, and generated over $1 billion in residential solar assets. I was also named one of Goldman Sachs’ 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs. After transitioning to Executive Chairman in mid-2023, I remained focused on governance and long-term strategy. Prior to PosiGen, I served as Chief Operating Officer of Utica Rentals, an independent franchise operation. During my tenure, the company was recognized as Franchisee of the Year and a Top 10 Franchisee eight out of nine years. I also served as President of the Louisiana Rental Dealers Association for five years and was named APRO’s Rental Dealer of the Year.
