South Pacific Sports Club is a sports club located in Dunedin. They are involved in the local rugby league, netball, basketball and softball competitions. I helped design and create the logo for each sports team and design some of the uniforms for the teams. I grew up playing rugby league for the club and it was a honour for me to be involved with my old club again.

I was the Head Designer at Leslie Rugby, I would design custom on and off field Rugby apparel for clubs and schools around New Zealand. These include fully custom Playing uniforms, customised rugby balls, hoodies, tracksuits and Jackets. I also did the photography of finished products and create the content (Videos and Photos) for all our social media sites. I talk with sponsors, clients and clubs to create mock ups before getting a sign off and then prepping all designs and files for manufacturing.I would have to sometimes vectorise (redraw) logos and crests for the clubs and sponsors as everything had to be in vector format. I produced and created all video content for online platforms and maintained and updated the company website.

Nightcap a music gig showcasing some of the top DJ's and MC's local and international performing there music. I worked as a visual technician displaying and mixing the video content being projected on the screen positioned behind the performers on stage. I also had control of the stage lighting and smoke machines. It was my job to keep the crowd entertained and into the music and making sure they were having a good time. Set up and take down of the stage and all video and audio equipment was involved.

Rhythm and Alps in a annual two day festival that is held every New Year. Music artist from around the world come to perform for thousands of people to have a good time and celebrate the New year. In 2011 I was one of the Vjs (Video Jockey) which is exactly like a DJ but instead of music I was mixing video clips which was being displayed on a big screen behind the artist on stage for all the crowd to see. The role involved setting up projectors with live 3 live cameras that would send live video to my computer which I would mix and display on the screen for the crowd. It was very enjoyable and got some very good and new skills and experiences.

Some students and I were given the task of designing new banners to go on the stage at the Otago Polyfestival held every year in Dunedin. This festival gives the chance for schools to perform Kapa Haka and Polynesian dances on stage. The banners are displayed behind the performers on stage and are 8m tall by 2.5m wide. They reaction was great and welcomed by everyone in the community.

A local Moari artist had a Art installation project that was going to be displayed in the middle of Dunedin City. It was a installation showcasing four different videos of Iconic Moari performing Hakas. This was in association with the Rugby World Cup so that that the famous Haka would be on display for visitors and tourist watch. While filming the different Haka I helped the artist and project managers with the special effects in each video. I helped create smoke, mist, rain and snow for the performers to do there Haka through. All the content was filmed in 3D and the finished product turned out spectacular.

I helped re-create the logo for this company and gave advice for branding. The logo turned out great and the owner was very happy with the final outcome.

When the managers at Lonestar found out I was a designer the would get me to do regular work for them when needed. I would help with advertisements, marketing, branding, social media, promotions, video, animations, media and other various print outcomes for the business.

My passion for design came from my love of brands, which one of my all time favourite brands being Nike. I love sports apparel and footwear and Nike combines all those passions of mine. I went travelling to gain some new skills, experiences and styles of other cultures and places around the world. I got a a job at Nike working as a sales associate, the managers then found out about my design background and I started to help with in-store promotion and marketing, the store social media pages, photography and any other tasks the managers needed done.This was to gain experience as I always wanted to return to New Zealand and start a career.

I created a Design that would be used as the main branding image for the Otago Polytechnic across all online and print outcomes for the institute. The graphic was displayed on the website, all student stationary, t-shirts and more. It was a honour to have one of my graphics used as the main branding image and it got really good feedback.

I had the honour of being involved in Dunedin's first building projection. I managed a group of students to create visuals and sound to be projected onto the front of a three story building. We had a few days to come up with a idea, create all content and sound, learn and use the software to come up with the final outcome. It was a success and a dream of mine to be involved in a building projection, the project made local news and was the ultimate experience.
