In this role I was charged with providing accounting and asset tracking for field inventory. Maintain relationships with vendors. Make purchases for construction and well drilling programs. I performed data analysis by modifying SQL queries to generate fiscal impact reports for reserve reporting to the V.P. of finance and reviewed by the CFO. I directly assisted field supervisors with purchases and accounting direction along with project accounting to separate capital from expense expenditures. I also made bid purchases for field staff for large expense materials and then followed through with the logistics of delivery. After purchases were made I coded and reconciled those purchases against the accounting system and internal P.O.

In this role I was charged with coordinating project deliverables to match budgets and scheduling. Maintain relationships with vendors. Managing projects along with associated logistics for delivery. Contracts management and vendor compliance. I provided data analysis for reserve reporting to the V.P. of finance and reviewed by the CFO. I directly assisted field supervisors with accounting direction along with project accounting to separate capital from expense expenditures. I also made bid purchases for field staff for large expense materials and then followed through with the logistics of delivery. After purchases were made I coded and reconciled those purchases against the accounting system and internal P.O. requirements. Additionally, I was heavily involved in an administrator role with the accounting of AFE’s through a 3rd party program called AFE Navigator. I reviewed accounting coding, budget, and general accuracy against known costs in the field. Once those AFE’s were fully approved I processed them into the accounting system so that charges could then be made against them. I provided monthly reconciliation reports along with on demand custom reports for field supervisor review

While performing these duties, I oversaw all material purchases, establishing vendor relationships and pricing guidelines, along with ensuring that all deliveries were complete and arrived at the job sites per construction schedules. I would also oversee the accounting staff and prepare and review financial reports for the owner. Financial reports would include items such as general ledger, cash on hand, and projections based on progress payment schedules.

While in this position I automated those special tax assessment processes which was taking in around $3 Million per year and consistently brought it up to over $11 Million in just two years by reducing overhead and correcting legal and procedural mistakes. Additionally, I worked with Traffic and Water to oversee projects from minor well installations to supervising utilities on the Westside Parkway. My project management duties ranged from producing special provisions to material purchasing. I handled project accounting to ensure the City and contractors remained on budget and were charging accurately and per contract. I also oversaw contractors and city personnel to ensure budgetary and legal requirements were met.

This position allowed me to gain experience in every department within the City. My engineering duties ranged from approving and signing civil engineering drawings and maintaining and automating the consolidated tax maintenance districts. While in this position I automated those special tax assessment processes which took in around $3 Million per year and consistently brought it up to over $11 Million in just two years by reducing overhead and correcting legal and procedural mistakes. I oversaw project purchases and contractor progress billings and extra work accounting to ensure the City and contractors remained on budget and were charging accurately and per contract. I also oversaw contractors and city personnel to ensure budgetary and legal requirements were met.
