The work included site visits to review project work locations and equipment renewals to confirm database details.

• As part of a team of professionals, assessed architectural and structural elements, including exterior and interior finishes, fittings and systems, to produce building condition assessments to aid in capital planning. Includes statement of conditions, cost estimating, evaluation of code compliance issues and preparing facility condition reports. Reports submitted within scheduled time frame. During close-out meetings, clients were complimentary of professionalism and useful observations brought to their attention • Projects included health care, educational (elementary, secondary, college and university), tourism and cultural institutions, municipal, corporate, industrial, pharmaceutical, corrections and nuclear power generation • Auditor Code Compliance: As part of a team of experienced facility assessors, reviewed previously submitted project reports to establish a database of regularly encountered building code infractions and standard remedies to these issues for use in a new software package to be supplied to clients not requiring the full assessment services of VFA

• Provided design, technical and administrative expertise, from design development through construction, for residential additions and renovations, including the addition and renovation to an historic 1935-era residence and garage • Reviewed and selected "Green" products, technologies and construction systems, coordinated with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, electronic systems, solar panel, fire safety, landscape, elevator, millwork and interior design consultants. • Coordinated with client and manufacturers’ products, vendors, and suppliers for furniture, fixtures & equipment packages

• Interior renovations to existing commercial lobby, office and retail spaces and a high-end cafe and take-out restaurant • Restaurant client and staff were pleased with small details that helped them perform their duties more efficiently • Coordinated unit plans with MEP revisions for new condominium construction and conversion of existing industrial buildings

• Provided design, technical and administrative expertise, from design development through construction for the conversion of existing warehouses to premium office spaces and ADA handicapped accessibility, including material and program upgrades, of existing schools • Reconstruction and restoration of the two-level 5740 ft. long Wacker Drive viaduct structure facing the Chicago River, constructed in 1926, and the restoration of the of the National Register of Historic Places listed 20-storey, 307 unit lakefront Edgewater Beach Apartments condominium constructed in 1928 • Subcontracted to the Chicago Department of Construction and Permits (now Chicago Department of Buildings) as an Architectural Consultant/Project Manager reviewing building permit applications and documentation in the “Standard Plan Review” and “Self-Certification” permit review programs, developed and co-wrote the “Fast Track” residential permit application protocol providing a streamlined application procedure for simple projects and assisted permit applicants of large projects to avoid bureaucratic delays in the “Developer Services” department
