Thomas Pellier
Purchasing Director @ ECG
About
With more than 15 years of experience, abroad or in France within an international context, I have a proven ability to manage complicated business situations while motivating team members to reach SMART objectives. Highly motivated and business oriented, my profile might surprise some people while interest some others... Indeed, after two years of preparatory class, I integrated SKEMA Business School. Before graduating with a Master of Science in International Marketing & Business Development in 2011, I made the most of my school. Through various exchange programs in the United States, as well as my first post-graduate work experience, I had the chance to spend more than two years in this country. Not only did it perfect my English skills, but it also developed my adaptation skills to very different environments and persons. As can be seen on my profile, I have experience in several industries and positions that are quite different from one another, making me a polyvalent-thinking manager. Far from chosing them by default, on the contrary I truly wanted to use my first work experiences to discover as many industries as possible. Pharmaceuticals, Education, Sustainable Development, Automotive, Food & Beverage and Travel are as many industries I have had the chance to put a foot into. The main skills that I have developped so far are the following: - Fair management & skills development of my team members - Adaptation - Analysis and benchmarking of the competition - Financial analysis - Definition of clear and goal oriented strategies - Presentation, either study results or new product releases, to small, medium and large audiences - Regular accurate reporting - Relationship creation and development, with internal and external stakeholders - Event organization for promotion and sales - Organization and multitasking

Business Development Associate

In collaboration with 2 business partners, we launched 5 franchises of the Bubble Bump brand in France. We took care of everything from the market and financial analysis to the automation of the full process and management. We first had the strong willing to set up a business together and were looking for the right opportunity. The Bubble Bump concept was quite new at the time and seemed like a business concept with high potential. We then analyzed the different possibilities offered to us to start such a business and concluded that capitalizing the experience of a franchise network (the strongest one) was the best solution to penetrate the market with strength and ensure quick profitability. Facing the success of the first center we opened, we decided to open a few other centers in the following months which led us to new challenges since we had to start delegating various tasks (accounting, every day management, community management, ...). We ended up with 5 centers, 5 game facilitators, 1 Community Manager, 1 video editor and 1 Business Manager. This was such a (quick) success that we then decided to create a new brand, Bumping Ball, and apply the same business model in the United States with another associate who is currently managing the business from there. This experience has been passionating, deeply enriching and full of learnings in many ways and(recruiting & managing people, developing partnerhsips, creation of an entire automated IT system, ...)
