This one week internship included experience on the equity derivatives, FX, sales and trading desks. This was my first experience of the energy of a live trading floor and was a steep learning curve as i was set administrative tasks and desk related jobs. This opportunity occurred just prior to my university studies and sparked my interest in finance due to the fast paced environment and career opportunities available to travel the world.

One of my favorite roles within golf management was the sales/marketing role that included sourcing, developing and delivering sales presentations to potential sponsors in order to obtain sponsorship for our golfers. Additional roles included researching the best hotel and flights options for events across Europe and the US, updating player contracts and editing player profiles/biographies with recent performances and related news stories. This was a hugely rewarding experience as a key member of the team and contributor to the efficient day to day running of the golf division. Consulting projects were successful due to efficient team communication and time management to meet strict deadlines for multinational companies. This position involved creative thinking outside the box to come up with efficient solutions.

Merit - Level 3 NVQ in Achieving Excellence in Sports Performance - Achieved through the England Golf Team. - Awarded Half Colours for Sporting Commitment to the Football, Rugby and Golf. - Award for Excellence in Physical Education (2012) for achieving the highest mark. Activities and Societies: Involved in MBP2 society- Myelin Basic Protein project which aimed to understand the second most abundant protein in the myelin sheath and understand and run experiments looking at the degeneration of the myelin in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) disease. Introduction into biochemical research. Team leader of a group of 20 involving in session planning, running examples and overseeing laboratory days.
