• Develop, implement, and monitor two annual operating budgets for Vanderbilt Hall; meet revenue and expenditure targets. • Authorize and approve accounts payable and student receivables. • Act as the Harvard Longwood Campus (HMS, HSDM, DMS, and HSPH) Housing Official by scheduling resident rooms, monitoring occupancy, managing turnover, maintaining billing records, and maximizing occupancy. • Confer and meet with the Deans of Students (HMS, HSDM, DMS, and HSPH) concerning student issues. • Provide guidance to tenants for interpretation of University policies and procedures as they pertain to the residence hall. • Establish, develop, and implement policy, and act as the principal coordinator of all services necessary for the proper function of the residence hall. • Manage the athletic facility and monitor the contract policies. • Coordinate with various service providers to ensure that building and life safety needs are satisfied, especially with regard to maintenance, custodial, security, environmental health, telecommunications, IT, and mail services. • Help ensure that building is in compliance with all relevant government regulations. Educate occupants regarding regulatory compliance (i.e. fire codes, life safety issues, ADA compliance). • On-call 24 hours a day. • Write, edit, and publish department publications; produce all artwork and graphics for housing and athletic contracts, orientation pamphlets, athletic brochures, web page, and signage. • Oversee bedroom key and card access issuance for 324 residents, visiting scholars, and athletic facility members. • Collaborate and negotiate service contracts with multiple vendors.
