Develop the core data access layer and objects used in Esri products. Includes: ArcObjects COM development, C++, libxml, xercesc, C# with WPF, and a variety of database technologies.

Architect, design, and develop custom solutions extending ArcGIS. Past work includes piloting ESRI Reviewer extension through the 9.2 and 9.3 releases (2005-2008) and leading development on a prototype custom data storage extension to ArcGIS (2008-2010).

This position involved software development for two projects: the IPUMs project and the NHGIS project, both involving historical census data. For the IPUMs project I oversaw the merging of multiple data dictionaries used to geocode historical census records, each with different attribution and semantics. For the NHGIS project I wrote editing tools which plugged into ArcGIS to assist with the creation of a custom spatial-temporal data model of county boundaries across time. Other duties included data modeling, writing custom tools to validate data integrity, and supervising several editors involved in data cleaning.
