Performing fabrication, testing, and research on fluoride molten salt test loop (FMSTL) to observe and record the effect of molten salt and other working fluids on a 316 SS test loop. Subsequent system requirements include the documentation of safety procedures, testing of instrumentation and data acquisition equipment, and the utilization of procured pump and heating system. Research on the FMSTL and other projects within the NEXT lab will lay the groundwork for new molten salt reactor technologies. These technologies will provide the world with a new source of clean energy, water, and medical isotopes.

I worked a maintenance role on the 165 acre golf course at the Abilene Country Club. My role as a cart attendant was to maintain the condition and comfortability of the course's 50 golf carts, manage the supply of thousands of golf balls on the driving range, and ultimately lend a hand to any one of the hundreds of golfers with their imminent needs, while providing consistently friendly customer service. Becoming a leader amongst the golf cart staff, I was also given the role of training 4 new employees that would work alongside me.
