Over 3 months, we took our company from a hunch to an MVP with a teacher who used the app live with his 75 students. Along the way, we conducted over 50 customer interviews with teachers, prototyped with as many students, and iterated our way from paper prototypes to a release 1.0 that delivered on our unique value proposition.

Acton produces the “Navy Seals” of business school graduates and is nationally ranked by Princeton Review as having the most competitive students and third best faculty in the country. By graduation, a student will have analyzed over 300 Harvard cases via the Socratic teaching method and consistently worked 90 -100 hour weeks for the duration of the program.

Texas Teaching Fellows is a highly selective non-profit alternative certification program dedicated to bringing achievement-oriented individuals into Texas’ most high-need schools and subject areas. Six weeks of intensive training and practice teaching in a summer school classroom, combined with rigorous training during the school year, prepares Fellows to be effective in the classroom from day one.

Designed and built a device to inject a pulse of current into a culture of cardiac cells as a function of their pulse; programmed the Texas Instrument MSP-430 in low-level C to process and control the analog circuitry that interfaced with the cardiac cells.
