Description: Worked as a contractor at General Tire and Bank of America. Streamlined the tire inventory system by writing and maintaining programs written in PL/I using IMS/DC and DB2. The system functioned in real-time, instead of batch, and included easier-to-use entry screens. Ensured smooth business operation and limited client impact by modifying batch programs written in COBOL to maintain the batch processing cycle.
