I implemented a Kindergarten curriculum with a particular focus on a balanced literacy approach, to foster the literacy skills of 30 students. I supported student growth in all curricular areas using individualized instruction, small and whole group instruction and experiential learning. I maintained a child centered classroom that encouraged independence, provided opportunities for problem solving and critical thinking.
