• Estimation of the remaining useful life of assets based on the condition (Condition based Risk Management) • Assessing the probability of failure for electrical assets using statistical methodologies • Remote monitoring of partial discharge (PD) from substations • Identified possible incipient faults using remote monitoring of PD • Analysing cable PD data, providing analysis and identifying fault locations

• Research on electrical tree-driven failures of XLPE cables • Designing and conducting laboratory-based experiments on accelerated life testing of XLPE insulation • Analysing experimental results using statistical methods such as Weibull life estimation • Analysing the XLPE insulation condition based on FEM and space charge theory etc.

• Was personally responsible for all operations at Randenigala & Rantembe hydropower stations, Sri Lanka • Attended the emergency maintenance requirements of the power station and the relevant HV grid substations and restore the plant safely • Was responsible for the Restoration of supply in the shortest possible time in the event of partial or total failure due to plant, feeder, generator, or total system failure • Was responsible for ongoing monitoring of generator performance after routine maintenance, major overhaul and maintenance work in governor or AVR.

• Designing of Substation Layouts, Single Line Diagrams, Bay-wise Section Drawings, Cable trench drawings and Lightning Protection drawings of Grid Substations • Performing design calculations of grid substation projects such as earthing systems sizing, Current transformer sizing and Underground Power cable sizing • Being a site-in-charge Engineer and travelling to various parts of the country to perform duties. • Transmission substation erection and commissioning work • Revising design drawings, documents, and calculations as per client requirements • Design of Interface drawings of Control and Protection Systems and Low Voltage AC/DC systems of substations • Preparation of as-built documents and drawings for substation projects • Preparation of tender documents for new projects.
