Worked with external partners to bring new products/businesses to the site that can utilize Fujifilm’s coating technologies and expertise. Collaborated with R&D HQ and local production teams to develop new products for partners. Responsible for researching and evaluating business potential up to negotiating business contracts.  Led pilot coating trials to develop new film for electronic applications for various partners.  Optimized recipe to scale up production of Metal-Organic Framework materials from lab scale to 100’s kg/batch while realizing an increase of 600% in production efficiency.  Responsible for marketing new lubricant additives in the North American market. Activities included developing sales centric website, marketing material, hosting trade shows and conducting material qualification tests for various customers.

Responsible for all quality aspects of pre-sensitized printing plate’s factory. Functioned as a liaison between factory, sale-company and end users. Ensured products met or exceeded quality expectation of customers while maintaining low production costs. Resolved customer claims and prevented reoccurrences through onsite investigations, root cause analysis, and implantation of countermeasures. Managed a team of 5 engineers and 8 technicians.  Reduced overall customer complaints to less than 1 complaint per 1 million sq. meter product.  Introduced “no edge-trim” product, resulting in $100K/yr. in savings plus an increase in sales.  Worked with packaging team to introduce bulk packaging for Presensitized Printing Plates.

Responsible for day-to-day operation of a complex $110M chemical and film manufacturing line. Worked across multiple departments to ensure production KPI’s are met. Managed daily and monthly production target for multiple products. Provided leadership to manufacturing Supervisors and Team Leaders. Reported directly to Operation Manager.

1. Provided technical & operational support to the coating process of Presensitized Printing-plate production ensuring continual improvements in process capability, quality, capacity increases, productivity and investigation of customer issues. 2. Developed process conditions to introduce new products into the production line. 3. Supported in design, installation and start-up of a $110M coating line. Led commissioning team responsible for starting up coating/mixing process.
