Board Advisory

Provide specialist strategic support and technical expert input in areas of specialisation towards the achievement of the SBU’s development strategies and industry development goals (areas of specialization usually refer to technical aspects within a sector/value chain,)Perform technical/marketing risk analysis in area/s of specialisation on deals and provide expert opinion on possible risk mitigants. - Conduct specialist evaluation/due diligence of business proposals and deals under consideration - Participate due diligence investigations - Provide specialist input and advice to industry forums, policy debates and IDC (for strategy development and other objectives) - Identify any risk in deals and projects (including during implementation) and defining mitigation plans to minimise these risks - Provide specialist input into the technical/marketing aspect of the report for presentation to the relevant credit and other committees as required. - Participate in industry research in conjunction with R and I, and other external sources and agencies. Customer Focus & Stakeholder Management - To build and maintain a network specialising in technical/marketing aspects (existing and expanded) - To effectively interact with different SBU’s/parties in order to provide specialist support and technical input where relevant. - Represent IDC on steering committees and other task teams as required - Manage and enhance the levels of service and communication to ensure the provision of client service excellence. -Grow and deepen knowledge and understanding of current and new areas of specialization - Keep up to date with latest industry developments (conferences and sector forums) - Participate and lead knowledge sharing in the team and cross functional - Coaching and mentoring of team members Job

•Manage and Monitor the available Water Resources to meet customer demands. •Monitor and advise Water and Waste Water treatment operations. •Manage Water and Wastewater distribution to meet customer demands •Perform general management and administrative functions to ensure operational efficiency and compliance. •Manage water and waste water value chain with its associated infrastructure in order to meet consumer demands of the areas with regard to water quality, quantity, and cost.

Provide strategic leadership and direction to specialised serviced department (Pump stations, Reservoir, towers, Telemetry and Leak detection) Day to day management of bulk infrastructure assets, operation, maintenance and monitoring of water and sewer pump stations, Reservoirs, Towers Manage and Monitor the department’s performance. Ensure functionality of all Engineering assets for continuity of operations and maintenance Program and Project management. Ensuring compliance as well as monitoring of Health and safety and labour relations. Manage finances, budget control, Procurement of services and materials (MFMA) Review and update technical documents & drawings. Ensure compliance to all water and sanitation standards and policies. Overseer maintenance strategies as well as conducting system inspections and condition audits. Monitor work done by external and internal service providers Manage and control human resources as well as overseer career growth of staff Compile progress reports (i.e. weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.) Attend public complains and meetings of area the under management as well as customer liaison Managing and maintaining client relations/customer care and awareness. Review and update departmental policies, SOP as well all other operational documents. Facilitate and Chair regular departmental meetings.

Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Electrical, Mechanical, Minor plant engineering department Day to day management of bulk infrastructure assets, operation, maintenance and monitoring of water and sewer pump stations, Reservoirs, Towers and main technical workshop (Reticulation, Bulk pipelines, Handling and Storage) and rending of maintenance support to 5 Wastewater treatment works. Acting as the Technical Division’s Manager(My immediate manager) as and when mandated Manage and Monitor the department’s performance. Ensure functionality of all Engineering sections (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical &instrumentation) for continuity of operations and maintenance of all infrastructure assets. Program and Project management. Ensuring compliance as well as monitoring of Health and safety (NOSA) and labour relations. Manage finances, budget control, Procurement of services and materials (MFMA) Review and update technical documents & drawings. Ensure compliance to all water and sanitation standards and policies. Overseer maintenance strategies as well as conducting system inspections and condition audits. Monitor work done by external and internal service providers Manage and control human resources as well as overseer career growth of staff Compile progress reports (i.e. weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.) Attend public complains and meetings of area the under management as well as customer liaison Managing and maintaining client relations/customer care and awareness.
