The Total Energy Summer School (TESS) brings together 80 students from around the world, selected from over 6700 applicants with leading academics from Total’s Professorial and Research Chairs programme and Senior Total representatives from across the business for 4 days of interactive learning and discussion.Through a stimulating mix of lectures and group activities,students work alongside academic and industry thought leaders to explore the energy of the future. The programme was a great learning experience for me and some highlights include the sustainable energy brainstorm conducted by CNBC, plenary sessions featuring guest chairs and speakers from leading institutions including UNESCO, MIT, IEA, Dauphine, IFP and INSEAD, ‘Total Ed’ Talks, inspired by TED conferences, as well as working together in a student team challenge to discuss innovative ideas on harnessing the power of diversity.
