Served as a Deployment Support Specialist for the 101st Airborne Division Transportation Office. Responsible for ensuring the timely movement of over 23,000 personnel and 7000 pieces of equipment by government or commercial transportation in support of war fighting missions and natural disaster assistance programs. Coordinated high level, time sensitive transportation program that’s involves national and world-wide movements of passengers, personal property, and freight, via all major modes of transportation where many moves are of a non-recurrent nature, and the types of traffic include commodities requiring special handling. Advised the Division Transportation Officer on vital issues regarding the procurement of transportation, storage, and related services incident to the movement of military and personal property. Worked closely with team members and units assigned to the Fort Campbell area of operations by providing transportation guidance in support movement operations.
