Co-founded student organization to explore how design thinking and human centered design principles can be applied to public policy development and implementation.

* Conducted research and co-authored a report in collaboration with the Berkeley Food Institute on public policies to support pollinator/bee populations. * Submitted report to the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services for inclusion in a global report on the state of pollination. * Presented findings to Super-B, a European coalition of scientists and policymakers, at a conference in Belgium in March 2015.

* Worked on a team of four graduate students to design a local food supplement program to improve food security among low-income city residents. * Collected information on 17 programs, synthesized relevant academic research, and evaluated local data to inform recommendations.

* Worked with stakeholders and constituents to assist in the development of public policy for Representative’s legislative agenda. * Built strong relationships with local and state policymakers, Governor’s staff, and regulatory agency staff, as well as lobbyists, faculty and student organizations. * Researched and analyzed legislation and issues. Prepared issue-briefing materials and talking points. Took on additional research projects for the House Democratic Caucus. * Organized and facilitated town halls and stakeholder meetings. * Managed constituent inquiries and correspondence, tripled constituent email listserv.

* Staffed mobile women’s health screenings. Helped with all aspect of event from preparing community sites for the health providers, checking in clients and assisting them with paperwork. * Managed invoicing, reporting, site audits for state and federal contracts. * Coordinated activities and communication of department, facilitated staff meetings. * Designed agency brochure of services and other advertising media. * Successful experience identifying funding sources and writing grants.

* Led the research and development of a policy action guide for municipalities seeking to reduce and better manage food waste. * Identified and conducted interviews with city and county government staff across the country, as well as academic experts
