As a natural flow, based on the success, in my other Compagny, Teken Consulting, I changed the compagny form to Inc, or AB as it is called in Swedish. This is my primary compagny, and I still have virtualization as main workarea. I have a big interest in makin IT more environmental friendly, so I have started looking at virtual desktops, Power management and other related fields also. This compagny is closing and I will no longer have my own compagny. I have come to the conclusion that I will spend my time on what is important - and that is my wife and daughter :-) So everything I do here will continue - but as an employee of Syskon Solutions and with less time spent.

Administration, maintenance and development of the rapidly growing VMware platform at Nordea. At the moment +200 hosts and +2000 VM's, covering several locations around the world. Quest vFogligt and vKernel for administration, reporting, capacity management and troubleshooting. vCheck and RV tools as reporting. Powershell and PowerCli for scripting. Symantec Netbackup for Backup. Also participating in running and maintaining servers of various OS flavours, when compagny standards do not fit. Experience and google as good helpers.

VMware management in a very large and highly virtualized environment based on VMware vSphere ESXi. Part of a team responsible for developing the virtual infrastructure to become one of the largest in the nordics. Special tasks are maintenance and documantation of the infrastructure. Hired as Technician - working for GE Capital deploying large amount of Laptops

Stationed at Thule Air Base, Greenland. The air base is an American military base containing an airport, a management unit and is an operating town with all the necessary infrastructures. I provided IT support to the hospital, the dentist, the library, various types of craftsmen, communication centers, payment card systems, the airport and much more. Provided operation, maintenance and documentation of a mirrored server installation and SAN/NAS. Was responsible for backup via TSM and Back Up Exec. Was administrator on Domino. Consolidation of servers for IBM Blade centers, virtualization of serverpark for VMware Infrastructure 3 and Virtualcenter. Segmented and documented the network. Set up and maintained ADSL for hot spots. Operation, documentation and maintenance of SQL, IIS, VPN, SMS, Sharepoint, Axapta, VMware and much more.

Operation and maintenance of the infrastructure. The employment was initially based on working with PC’s, however, my interest and the job development grew to general administration of servers and networks. This included Lexmark Markvision for printer control and an initiation of Microsoft SMS. Other assignments included support visits, hardware troubleshooting, telephone support, purchasing, sale and advising customers in regards to new acquisitions and enhanced utilization of existing equipment.

Contract with IBM concerning moving servers and applications from Sweden to Denmark for a larger Danish/Swedish milk manufacturer. Responsible for installation of physical and virtual servers. Launching via Tivoli and other IBM tools. Configuration of servers in cooperation with the system architect. Management and maintenance of Windows and VMware for the milk manufacturer and a large Danish grocery chain as well as a large Danish bank/payment firm.
