* As a part of final year curriculum, completed project on “Preventive maintenance schedule” from August 2014 to March 2015 with the help of three other project members at Valvoline Cummins Ltd. The Company has started their plant on 8th May 2014. * The aim of project is to increase the life of the Plant and reduce the breakdown. * We have studied the workflow of manufacturing, utility & packaging section. * We have referred research papers and manual of machines to understand their functioning. * On the basis of Industrial standards and Management suggestions, we have designed preventive maintenance schedule which was accepted by Management. * Company has applied the schedule and failure of plant reduced which ultimately has saved 12% to18% of cost.
