Developing the autonomous navigation systems of the future

In ages past, I walked the frontlines of the student startup ecosystem, shaping ventures and building paths where none existed. Now I remain as a custodian of the Society’s wisdom, a keeper of old truths and quiet counsel. I guide those who seek knowledge, offering words not often spoken, but drawn from the deep well of experience and time.

In 2024 TRES moved its operations and home base to the technical campus of Tampere University in Hervanta. Highlights of the year: - We organized a week long trip to Silicon Valley together with the board, on which we met with 24 founders, investors and accelerators - I led a team of 6 to organize a 5-day Berlin excursion for 21 participants, on which we met 15 founders, investors and accelerators. - Together with Tommi Uitti and Jani Lehto we organized a startup course, the first of its kind in Tampere University. The course lasted for 7 weeks, each having an in-person lecture, homework and a guest lecturer (including Jyri Engeström). Alongside the lectures we organized excursions to Tampere and Helsinki based startups. The course got 55 students of which 52 completed and got the credits.

I acted as secretary in meetings and managed our IT services. Besides those I generally organized everything the association did with the other board members. Highlights of the year were the month long BRiDG3 hackathon and the Barcelona excursion, both of which I was part of organizing.

I was responsible for building large parts of the Brightlife Flow product, like invoicing and the booking calendar. I also played a large part in shaping our product development workflow and the products user experience.
