I investigated agonistic anti-CD45RA mAbs for their ability to induce T cell apoptosis. Led an Exploratory Program and designed Proof of Mechanism and Proof of Concept experiments.

Department of Immunology Mentor: Michael J. Bevan, Ph.D. I used expression profiling and an in vivo screen to identify novel targets in developing thymocytes. ▪ Developed a successful workflow to identify novel targets by expression profiling and validate their in vivo function using retroviral transduction.

Mentor: Edward A. Clark, Ph.D. I characterized novel genes by biochemical and genetic methods. Using gene targeting, I generated and characterized mice that are deficient for osteoprotegerin. I also generated mice that are deficient for GrpL/GADS by gene targeting. Gained experience utilizing a variety of techniques in order to validate the in vivo function of novel target genes
