I am an artist currently working with seniors to enhance and improve their quality of life. The profile photo displays part of a tapestry project that took 2 years to make. We bonded as women and friends stitching and chatting while making our tapestry and we titled it: "Our Labor of Love" (See below to find out more of what I do at MJHS) I have been a freelance artist in Miami Florida for the past 20 years as a painter, muralist, ceramicist, art handler and exhibit installer, art model, art instructor and facilitator. My passion of course is creating my original surreal works along with mixed media, poetry and writing. My forte is oil painting of all the mediums I create in. I just love color; realism and imagination all blended together, creating soulful ethereal works to evoke emotion and spirit. Peter Betan fell in love with my painting "Arizona Star Child" and felt it is reflective of the ambiance and style of his instrumental album "Short Stories". When he decided to re-release "Short Stories" in 2003, he asked me if I would be interested in allowing him to use my painting for his album cover. I could not refuse such a great request for an album that expresses beautiful, unique and ethereal music.
