This season I was able to expand on my skills and learn more about the industry. I held more responsibility than the year before, and helped train the new Dispatchers. I was also responsible for making the yearbook for our 2016 Wildfire season.

Wildfire Dispatcher
Lac La Biche
The summer of 2015 was when I started working at the Fire Center based out of Lac La Biche. Dispatching is a seasonal employment that runs for the summer months, typically starting in March-October (which is fire season). Dispatching requires very good and calm communication skills to successfully pass information to co workers involved in all aspects of a fire.
