As a Mammography Technologist, I am able to have a very personal experience with my patients. I obtain an accurate history of each patient, preform screening, diagnostic, and needle localization exams. My personality eases patient's nerves and I enjoy working with my team and the Radiologist. I preform quality control tests and make sure result letters and all other documentation is done in a timely matter.

I greet every guest with a smile and aim for customer satisfaction. I ensure a positive experience by being pleasant and sociable. I take orders and deliver food/drinks in a timely matter. I have acquired menu knowledge and communicate effectively with my co-workers to get tasks done efficiently as a team. My co-workers and I complete the cleaning duties at the end of each shift. I have earned trust from my employer. This independence allows me to make my own decisions based off my own judgement, distribute discounts, handle the cash register till, and train newer employees.

I help the Radiology Department with anything they may need. This includes safely transporting patients to and from patient floors or hospital entrances. I take on the responsibilty of projecting a positive first impression of Theda Care, because I am first to meet the patient. I spend time filling out their initial paper work and getting them properly prepared for the exam. This may include changing patients, starting IV's, answering any questions, and comforting them. I continuosly seek out ways to help my team by taking calls, assisting physcians, and cleaning the exam room and the equipment.

Theda Clark School of Radiologic Technology is a clinical based program where students spend the majority of their 30 hour clinical weeks in X-ray but also branch out to other modalities such as Surgery, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Cath Lab/Specials. Students spend time studying what makes a quality image for the Radiologist, and how to obtain it while maintaining a safe enviroment for the patient.
