I have joined the African Union in 2006. In December 2009 I became the Head of Defence and security Division and previously I was the Senior Policy Officer at the African Union office in Lilongwe, Malawi (2006-2009). Before joining the AU, I was a lecturer at the American University in Madrid Spain (2004-2006) and the Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Islamic Committee of the International Crescent, one of the specialized Institutions of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (2001-2003). PhD in international relations of Reading University (United Kingdom)
