Studied the economic challenges of rural America and engaged in service opportunities, such as constructing homes and visiting the infirm and people with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities: ensured patron safety and protected lives, chemical testing, member registration, swim lessons, pool maintenance, and keep pool area clean and safe.

* Fourteen week supervised experience included observation, daily teaching, and planning internship. * Planned, designed, implemented, and analyzed a unit teaching poetry that met Language Arts curriculum in New York State. Presented findings and analysis of student growth and learning in an Educator Work Sample. * Attended team meetings, curriculum meetings, and parent teacher conferences.

* Fourteen week supervised experience included observation, tutoring, co-teaching, and teaching. * Worked one-on-one with a special needs student to provide support and individualized instruction for reading comprehension. * Developed lesson plans, essays, and exams for Lord of the Flies.

* Worked in Los Delicias at the local school and assisted the Handmaids in their educational and recreational daily programming working in groups and one-on-one with students. * Examined the socio-political realities of El Salvador and learned of the U.S. involvement in Salvadorian Civil War through visiting various community organizations

Assist a team of swimmers in their quest to swim across the Hudson River to raise money for blood center research through LLS.

* Provide ongoing support to all TNT participants, enhancing each participant’s experience and ensuring his/her fundraising & training success. * Served as a liaison between participants and staff, as well as a liaison between coaches and participants. * Provide advice, support, and feedback to mentees while training for St. Anthony’s Olympic Distance Triathlon and Sleepy Hollow Sprint Triathlon. * Help facilitate and organize practices to ensure participant safety and experience.
