USV Integration and Demonstration Technical Lead

- Immersive engineering role working with the MV-20 Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) that demands ingenuity, problem solving, and efficiency. - Project Lead for the Internal Research and Development (IRAD) Boat for 2026: built execution plan to rebuild and upgrade boat, budget management/forecasting, charged hours, boat maintenance, boat upgrades, On-the-Water (OTW) testing coordinator, and scheduling/participation with government test events. - Design for Manufacturing (DFM) of MV-20 Platform encompassing a comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM), Trade Studies for design improvements, parts and material procurement, and more. - Stability Analysis of MV-20: hand calculations and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in Solidworks & Rhino with Orca 3D with regards to survivable sea state, self-righting, and payload deployment stability. - MV-20 Propulsion Trade Study to improve fuel burn including: optimize pitch of propellors for efficiency @ cruise, trim boat for 2,000 lbs. swing in overall weight mid-mission, and lessen drag coefficient of hull with smoother surface finish paint, optimize seakeeper trim tabs, and air-glide system in bow. - Wrote Boat Information Book (Boat Manual) detailing all subsystems of the MV-20, maintenance, launch procedures, and safety procedures. - Supported Long Endurance testing of MV-20: 3 week long continued OTW testing of platform. - Closeout build and inspections of MV-20 Hulls 0002 & 0003: finishing touches to make boats mirror copies of one another, extensive inspections of Hulls 0002 & 0003 down to the nut & bolt to facilitate final delivery to the buyer. - In-Service Engineering of MV-20 Hulls 0002 & 0003: design and integration of payload deployment platforms for mission critical support by the customer. - Ribbon Cutting for Panama City Facility: prepared and organized facility, coordinated with vendors, and hosted the local community and business partners for event.
