I’m a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 20+ years of experience developing electro-mechanical products from concept through full-scale production. My background spans consumer products, payment systems, and plastics-based designs, with hands-on ownership across the product lifecycle—system architecture, detailed design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing. I’ve worked extensively with injection-molded plastics and electromechanical assemblies, and I’m comfortable solving problems that cross mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing domains. More recently at Lakeshore Learning Materials, I’ve focused on product validation, safety, and durability testing. I develop test plans aligned with ASTM F963 standards, evaluate failure modes early in design, and work closely with engineering teams to reduce risk before tooling. This work has strengthened my focus on reliability—understanding how products fail and ensuring those risks are addressed before production. Earlier in my career at Magtek Inc., I led the development of secure card reader systems used in gas pumps and kiosks, including high-speed electromechanical assemblies and precision transport systems. I also founded SliceNFun, where I designed and brought a patented product to market, managing overseas manufacturing and scaling production. I also have experience developing automated test systems and working with robotics-based setups to evaluate product durability and performance, helping bridge traditional mechanical design with modern automation. I enjoy building products from a blank slate—especially where engineering decisions, testing, and iteration directly shape a reliable product.
