Returned to Zoetis to lead the newly-created Colleague Experience team, which includes Global Benefits and Mobility, HR Shared Services, Payroll, and HR Operations. Reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Selected to lead Global Benefits, later assuming responsibility for HR Operations and Global Payroll. Define, drive and implement global benefits, HR operations and payroll strategy and administration for 10,000 employees in 65 countries. Lead team of HR professionals, leaders and individual contributors. Member of HR Leadership Team responsible for setting the HR strategy for the company. Merger and acquisition responsibility for HR Operations, payroll and benefits.

Led the design, recommendation and approval process for Pfizer benefit plans including the redesign of existing plans to be competitive, deliver value through cost reductions, and satisfy local regulatory requirements. Proactively engaged with business leaders across Pfizer’s organization and HR employees in ex-US regions to successfully deploy new benefits. Defined and oversaw management of international benefits programs including global broker platform and managed risk through multi-national pooling arrangements for an employee population of 80K in 90 countries.

Selected to join 6-month special project designed to collaborate with external jumbo employers. Partnered cross-company to develop, deliver and support wellness programs to leverage best practices and realize the full potential of each company’s pharmacy benefit investment.

Promoted through a series of roles of increasing responsibility from Manager (2004-2007) to Senior Manager (2007-2010), and then Director in 2010. Led the strategy, design, financial analysis and implementation of benefit programs and policies including managing ongoing health and welfare programs for 40,000 employees and 42,000 retirees in the US and Puerto Rico.

Recruited as subject matter expert on strategy, design and contributions for medical benefits (healthcare consumerism, FAS 106 caps, Medicare & Medicare Part D). Managed vendor contracts and financials, and oversaw compliance with legal documentation (Summary Plan Descriptions).

Managed strategic planning for medical benefits for 250,000 active employees and retirees including union. Vendor manager for 15 HMOs, 2 PPO (Preferred Provider Plan), and 3 indemnity plans in New York State. Oversaw the annual renewal process for 150+ HMOs and Medicare + Choice HMOs.
