Liaise with various stakeholders within Surgical Services to ensure clinical information is collected in an efficient and value-adding manner. Collect and report on mortality and morbidity clinical data for Clinical Directors to review on monthly basis. Conduct various clinical audits to support the collection and collation of clinical indicators. Recommend and redesign business processes where required to ensure the timely and accurate collection of information. Management and redesign clinical forms in compliance with National and corporate standards and local guidelines to facilitate the quality of clinical documentation.

Achievements: Completing the culling project 2007 Responsibilities: Identify correct placement of paper-based medical records within the hospital, and to assist in accurate prepareation of the records for Outpatients clinics, Day surgery, Private Practices & clinicians. Participate in quality activities and project that will enhance the service delivery of the Health Information Department.

Responsible for all mandatory data submissions and correction of validation errors for Logan – Beaudesert Hospital and Community Health Services such as Homer QLD Interface (HQI) data extraction, Perinatal Data Collection (PDC), MAC Data (MEHACPH1), Outpatient Data (OPD) to ensure data integrity.. Responsible for Activity Based Funding, Episode of Care change (SNAP) education. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinical directors, clinical coders, and administrative managers/staff to ensure true reflection of clinical activities and financial information is captured accurately. Analyses data to monitor and identify quality concerns. Develop and implement strategies to improve data quality. Supervising 1 FTE AO4 Health Information Officer to improve data presentation and collection.
