- Provide strategic analysis on local economic contributions and distribution among stakeholders. Lead analysis for projects in Brazil, Canada and India covering Bauxite, Diamonds, Iron Ore and Potash. Internal data and interviews mainly with Project’s Director, Communities, HR, Procurement and Technical teams. Presentations to local teams and also relevant Exploration Directors. Portfolio for studies in 2013 includes projects in Canada, India, Laos and USA. - Implementation of risk management tools and compliance standard across Rio Tinto Exploration currently operating in about 20 countries. Guide the work plans of Regional Compliance Officers based in Johannesburg, Perth and Santiago to ensure implementation of updated integrity and compliance programme. Act as RTX Risk Champion.

- Supported projects on areas of economic analysis and developed a functional relationship with Rio Tinto Economics. Completed studies and support for Diamonds project in India, Mineral sands project in Mozambique and Copper project in Peru. - Accountability for delivering compliance and assurance solutions across all RTX regions world-wide. One of nine members of RTX finance and compliance leadership team.

- Member of the Cabinet of Advisers for the Peruvian Minister of Economics and Finance - Led project and multidisciplinary team aimed to strengthen public procurement processes and institutions. Presented outputs to the Restructuring Committee composed of professionals from the Ministry and the Prime Minister’s Cabinet. - Worked with the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) Missions - Monitored the performance of the Results-oriented public budget project

Analysed and reported the UNV’s mid-term review of the implementation of the Programme of action for the least developed countries (2001 – 2010)

- Completed a project to the USA Ambassador for the United Nations (UN) on impact assessment tools. - Assisted the Associate Dean and MPA Chair on research of public financial management topics

Professor of the Department of Economics (4 Semesters) Research and Policy Analyst on various projects including the following: -Developed the baseline study for a project involving artisan women in the Region of Puno - Evaluated the Ministry of Education’s national programme on technology implementation for public schools - Led the Peruvian response to The Open Budget Questionnaire 2005- 2006 developed by the Centre on Budget and Policy Priorities to evaluate access and improvements to public budgeting processes - Led the implementation of the Latin American Index of Budget Transparency 2005 (LIBT) in Peru in collaboration with other Latin American organisations. Wrote section on Peru and co-author publications (funded by DFID) - Analysed the Peruvian budget system and its effects on the IADB operation process (funded by IADB) - Managed the budget and activities of the Latin American Network of Regulation and Infrastructure (funded by IADB)
