As Cyclolab is predominantly an innovative R&D company, research plays an essential role in our past, present and future. As Director of R&D I am responsible for establishment of the company’s R&D strategy and projects, coordination of R&D activity, control of work and revision of reports, communication with partners and corresponding business development.

Being authorized to produce materials for clinical trials and APIs by the National Institute of Pharmacy Cyclolab provides its services in this field as well supported by a well experienced QA department and a Qualified Person. The group shares a succesful history in not only production and comprehensive characterization of these materials but also in filing corresponding regulatory documentations in the EU, US and other destinations.

Quality Control unit of the company is responsible for development and validation of analytical methods, compilation of validation and stability reports and protocols, creation of SOPs, release testing of starting and final materials, establishment of specifications, IPC and sampling systems. The group works in strong collaboration with the QA department during establishment and continuous improvement of the ISO and GMP compliant Quality Control System and elaboration of DMF and IMPD files for registration. Cyclolab produces its products under GMP circumstances as well, hence the documentation and regulation of the above are maintained and improved accordingly.

Capillary Electrophoresis is a technique highly represented in the analytics of cyclodextrins and their derivatives. Studies and works conducted in the lab range from characterization of various charged cyclodextrins in terms or degree of substitution and peak distribution through determination of organic and inorganic impurities in minute concentrations using validated method to research works focusing on complex stabilities, enantioseparation and so on.
