Department of fundamental neurosciences - Paola Bezzi's group Study astrocytes and their postnatal maturation in developing mouse cortex. The main focus was on their metabolism and the importance of mitochondria in astrocytes proliferation and maturation. I was also investigating the role of mitochondria metabolism, morphology and distribution in pyramidal cortical neurons and astrocytes in the context of 22q11 deletion syndrome. - Planning and execute preclinical in vivo, in vitro and ex vivo studies. - Acquire, analyze and interpret data - Conducted research integrating imaging, behavioral testing, cellular and molecular biology - Managed laboratory and administrative documentation; ensured proper follow-up of mouse colonies - Collaborated with internal and external stakeholders; supervised students - Presented results at internal meetings and conferences; contributed to manuscripts preparation
