POSITION HELD: HOD Electrical/Electronics (December 2008 – Present) : Responsible for Inspection,Commissioning and repair of naval vessels (26.50M,17M,15M,10M etc) : Installation, Operation and maintenance of Control systems (MTU,VOLVO, MERCEDES). : Installation, Operation and Maintenance of Radars (FURUNO,RECAL-DECCA,BRIDGE-MASTER). : Installation, Operation and Maintenance of GPS systems (GARMIN, FURUNO, JESSEPPEN), Transmitters and Receivers, Gyro System(C-Plath), and other navigational and communicational (VHF,UHF,HF & X-Band) electronics. : Conduct maintenance and solve breakdowns of maritime installations. : Co-ordinate with team leaders to ensure that all relevant electrical/electronic information is passed on to production/repair dept. in time. : To co-ordinate with third party/user and come up with concepts/proposals for refits as required. : To define technical specification of refit scope of work (for electrical,communication and navigation aspects), co-ordinate with purchase department to finalize subcontractors for equipment and installations etc. : To prepare necessary information(calculations,scope of work etc)for proposed electrical/electronic upgrades as required during refit. : Co-ordinate with subcontractor(equipment supplier and production sub contractor) to ensure correct installations on board. : Instruct/training of third parties about electrical/electronic/communication/navigation systems on board. : Prepare and inspect execution of startup work on periodic maintenance and repairs. : : Develop and prepare fire alarm systems and protection scheme. : Evaluate the project construction to ensure compliance with standards for electrical & HSE rules. : Co-ordinate with other project functions. : Technical support to project managers.

• To conduct product and process QA auditing in line with ISO9000:2001 and AS9100 Standards. • Prepare specifications for high, medium and low voltage electrical power generation and distribution equipments such as power generators, transformers etc. • Proposes, advises and facilitates the implementation, coordination and completion of electrical maintenance and Preventive Maintenance programs by managing projects from start-up through completion. • Developing accurate and clear cost estimates based on project data and communicating those estimates with engineers and concerned staff. • Perform design for the Earthing system and prepare the Earthing layouts. : To record all execution of work,used items and status of installation. • Comply with health and safety and quality assurance guidelines.

All machinery and equipment is controlled via PLCs.
