Tala Khalaf

Values: Lifelong learning, authentic living, integrity in relationships, and passionate pursuit of innovation. I have worked as a Physical Therapist and clinical specialist for the past 24 years. Currently I work and lecture part time at the Stanford Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic in Redwood City. I own a concierge-based private practice. In addition, I have co-founded PhysioHand Inc., a hardware/software evidence-based myofascial therapy platform to empower individuals with chronic pain treat the root cause of their ailments. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from the Ohio State University, Master’s Degree from Oakland University, and doctorate from the Massachusetts General Hospital. I am a faculty member at Stanford’s Orthopedic Physical Therapy Clinical Residency Program. I treat a variety of complex orthopedic problems and chronic musculoskeletal pain. My philosophy of patient care is to treat the WHOLE person, customizing a treatment plan based on each individual's lifestyle, needs, and goals. I strive to always look for the root cause(s) of dis-ease, pain, or dysfunction through evidence based practices. Once the cause(s) is (are) identified, I believe in full partnership with my patients to help them realize their own healing journey. I emphasize mindfulness and awareness of self defeating lifestyle habits in order to trigger a cascade of healing; therefore, enable mother nature to do the rest of the work.
