Tajwar Haque
Advanced Systems Engineering Intern @ Trane Technologies
About
As a Mechanical Engineering doctoral student at Oklahoma State University, I am passionate about advancing thermal systems, energy analysis, and computational modeling. With a strong foundation in heat transfer and HVAC system simulation, I specialize in ground source heat pump (GSHP) systems, building energy modeling, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).Currently, I lead the development of GLHEPRO, a commercial software for Ground Loop Heat Exchanger Design, where I enhance numerical stability, optimize borehole sizing algorithms, and integrate new modeling techniques for groundwater-filled boreholes. My research aims to improve the accuracy and efficiency of ground-source heat pump system simulations.Beyond research, I bring experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, guiding students in Thermal Fluids Design, Engineering Analysis, Fluid Dynamics, Integrative Design Studio (for architectural students) and coding applications in EES. My previous research in carbon nanotube synthesis and fluid dynamics has also been presented at international conferences.Technical Skills:✅ Heat Transfer & HVAC System Design✅ Computational Modeling & CFD Analysis✅ Machine Learning✅ GLHEPRO Development (VB.NET)✅ EnergyPlus | ANSYS | STAR CCM+ | Python | MATLAB | SQLIf you made it till here, have a snack before you go! 🍫🍬

Experience

Graduate Research Assistant
Under supervision of Dr. Jeffrey Spitler GLHEPro Development, Technical Support, and related Research (Ground Source Heat Pumps modeling and design). I worked with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Visual Studio in VBA and VB.NET to model the heat transfer of ground heat exchangers. A large proportion of my focus has been on standing column wells which is a type of GSHP, featuring an open loop borehole system for the heat exchanger.

Graduate Teaching Assistant
Oklahoma, United States
- Leading discussion sessions and tutorials for over 200 students. - Assisting in the preparation of lesson plans and materials. - Developing new material for department courses. - Participating in the assessment process using a variety of methods and techniques and providing effective, timely, and appropriate feedback to students to support their learning.

Research Assistant
Johor Bahru, Johore, Malaysia
- Collaborated with Professors and graduate students on a commercial project aimed to produce CNT in bulk and supply to local and international clients - Analyzed uniformity of velocity profile of Nitrogen across different chamber diameters via ANSYS Fluent - Characterized fluidization of 200+ beads substrate during the catalyst deposition process at varying inlet conditions through experiments in the laboratory using a 3D printed fluidization chamber - Conceptualized, designed, and tested 5+ models of parts of fluidized bed using SOLIDWORKS, ensuring that they were compatible with future synthesis processes using flame-enhanced chemical vapor deposition Significant Achievement: • First author of paper titled “Analysis of Fluidized Bed Characteristics for the Synthesis of Carbon Nanotubes (CNT) on Ceramic Beads” presented in 2022 Sustainable and Integrated Engineering International Conference (SIE 2022)

Microsoft Student Learn Ambassador
The Microsoft Student Partners is a worldwide recognizable program to sponsor students majoring in disciplines related to technology. The MSP program enhances students' employability by offering training in skills not usually taught in academia, including knowledge of Microsoft technologies. I am currently utilizing the opportunity to closely work with Microsoft and get involved in exciting projects and hosting events and tours for students of my University.

Production Intern
- Assisted in Inspection and Quality Control - Worked with Twin-Shaft Disperser and Steel Ball Mill - Performed Inventory Management in Finished Good Warehouse - Project on Automation in Charging Process in Water-based Paint Production
