• Designed the structural frame using Inventor and developed a graphical user interface programmed in Matlab to remotely control the droplet manipulation system. • Physiological sensor to monitor animal health: Designed and manufactured the circuits to operate the physiological sensor to wirelessly monitor the animal health. • Extracted movement data of microorganisms from continuous scanned images and characterized the behavioral responses to the chemical stimuli. • Designed paper-based microfluidic assay for colorimetric chemical detection; Developed a flow switch and experimental platform to perform the tests; measured the flow rate and color intensities using a program written in Matlab. • Designed and fabricated microfluidic chip to culture bacterial cells; performed cell viability and drug efficacy test to uncover the role of specific genes in antibiotic susceptibility and persistence.

• Performed various teaching and assessment activities for Engr 160 (Problems with Computer Applications Laboratory) and CprE 535 (Digital Image Forensics and Steganalysis): Wrote demo programs for students as learning resources;

• Mentored high school students at Harford Community College: Participated as a teaching fellow at JSTI, responsible for the entire curriculum which includes planning, sourcing, purchasing, assembly and demonstrating of innovative and age appropriate experiments based on droplet microfluidics; engaged students and guided their interest in science by introducing daily hands on experiments; finalized curriculum findings in a poster and presentation format (Participated in 2016 and 2017)

• Constructing the communication network: Built and repaired telegraph line and internet network for the command and control center; performed telephone wire tests and drew a switchboard circuit
