Associate Teamsports Equipment Designer
Herzogenaurach, Germany
At Puma I was responsible for designing team sport equipment and accessories for football, rugby, cricket, netball, as well as other sports such as Gaelic football, and handball. Products included, bags, footballs, goalkeeper gloves, shin guards, player gloves, fan wear scarves and other small accessories. Taking briefs from the product line management team, I was responsible for products from initial concept generation right through to production for both inline and SMU styles. I gained exposure and contributed to the initial creative direction process, and was responsible for the product synthesis through all stages of development. This included research, concept generation, concept development, final spec and tech packing, product sample development and where applicable I would also produce 3D models for rapid prototyping and manufacture. I also gained experience visiting Factories in Far East to develop products.
