A seasoned ML researcher with: • 10+ years of experience in AI model development and deployment • 5+ years of experience in hands-on work with GenAI models (finetuning / interpretability / synthetic data generation) • Core part of the team that pushed FDA-regulated AI-health algorithms onto mobile devices in the hands of consumers • 5+ years of hands-on research including at CSAIL, MIT supervising several interns and PhD students • Experience in serving in an AI Expert committee for red-teaming ML deployments for issues of bias and fairness Previously, I was a postdoc at MIT researching how to make GenAI models more transparent and before that, I was a Research Scientist at Butterfly Network where I co-led the deployment of Auto-Bladder Volume, a diagnostic ML product approved by the FDA. I obtained my Ph.D. under Prof. Rama Chellappa at the University of Maryland, College Park, for which I was awarded the ECE Distinguished Dissertation Award 2018!
