About
Women's health, mentorship and education have been passions consistent through my career. I am honored and thrilled to launch the most exciting professional adventure of my life, the Swedish OB/GYN Residency Program. Founded with a village of fabulous colleagues with expertise in teaching, we have built an amazing program grounded in clinical excellence and compassionate care. Our curriculum spans the depth and breadth of OB/GYN education, while affording progressive elective time for professional development. Wellness, life-long learning, and social justice are at the heart of our innovative program. Serve as the Medical Director for the Swedish Maternal & Fetal Specialty Center; the MFM outpatient clinic at Swedish Medical Center serving over 10,000 visits yearly. Physician supervisor to the Perinatal Genetics, Diabetes Education program, and the Advanced Nurse Practitioner team. Active on the Outpatient Perinatal QI committee creating consensus on perinatal care and has continued to contribute to clinical research including work on perinatal opioid prescribing practices in the Providence of Washington Health System. Active in resident education as the site director for resident education at Swedish Medical Center, as well as sitting on the Program Evaluation Committee and Clinical Competency Committee for the University of Washington OB/GYN residence program for nearly a decade. In addition, faculty for the Addiction Medicine Fellowship and regular lecturer for the Family Practice residency program and Family Practice Advanced Obstetrics Fellowship. COVID Pregnancy Clinic – Creation of our PUI and COVID-19 Positive perinatal clinic response for the pandemic. Secured clinic space for containment, hired dedicated staff and initiated prescreening process for admissions. Identified strategies for containment, PPE conservation, streamlining, quality care models and decreasing provider-patient exposures Seattle Met Top Doc - Seattle Met poll of health care practitioners licensed by the Washington State Department of Health. Voters nominated their most esteemed peers based on years of experience, competency, rapport with patients, patient satisfaction and compliance with care recommendations, and ability to work effectively with colleagues across specialties to deliver the best patient care. Nominated yearly since 2017.
