In this role I managed a multidiscipline and multicultural team across Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey to deliver outstanding outcomes in oil spill and emergency response preparation for the BTC pipeline. This role was delivered from Azerbaijan with considerable travel along the pipeline. My achievements included: Providing assurance of the response capability through assessment of desktop and physical deployments of oil spill response equipment Integrating the response plans into the GIS system to improve response capability Managing the successful closure of oil spill response audit findings and the financial close-out audit for BTC pipeline

In this role I provide senior technical support to the central E&S team through the development of key guidance procedures and independent review and assessment of E&S management in other areas of the business. I also provide specific compliance, environmental and social technical support and oversight to a $USD12 billion Egypt project. My achievements include: Developing a methodology to robustly compare existing and emerging water treatment technologies for oil sands developments Developing a Guidance Note for managing Environmental Critical Equipment in a consistent and standardized manner across the Upstream business Facilitating multidiscipline workshops to systematically identify E&S aspects and impacts associated with a design or activity, and developing appropriate actions to eliminate or manage the impacts Managing the delivery of oil spill preparedness through spill scenario identification, prioritization and modelling for the Egypt project Initiating and managing the HSSE regulatory compliance management system for the Egypt project

In this role I was instrumental in the successful transition of the business to a new operating system. The new system set group standards across all elements of operating and the change involved understanding the current way of working and the actions necessary to ensure conformance with the new system expectations. My achievements included: Cross organizational support for the change through engaging across multidiscipline teams and at all levels to motivate and communicate the value of the new system Developing and gaining leadership endorsement for the regional plan to deliver conformance to the new management system Successfully managing the official sign off for transition to the new system of operating through a coordinated effort with the local executive team

In this role I supported geophysical and geotechnical surveys, exploration wells, development wells and the design and construction of new offshore facilities. My achievements included: Coordinating and delivering community and stakeholder engagement to achieve ESIA approval for project activities and set the standard for future engagement activity Leading the interface with the environmental regulator and addressing concerns raised using industry best practice and technical studies to agree on appropriate mitigation measures Auditing offshore and onshore facilities against ISO 14001 standard and supporting the overall EMS

My achievements included: * Developing an environmental monitoring program to assess long term environmental changes across the operated blocks * Developing and delivering training for an educational community project * Managing strategic environmental assessments and offshore sampling programs

This role is in support of Deepwater project development activities from regulatory interfaces, engineering, construction and EPCI contract management through the project life cycle to installation and start-up.
