Suzana Trac

Suzana is responsible for leading and supporting project management efforts in a variety of LRT renewal projects.

Suzana was involved in providing project management and risk analysis services on the City of Edmonton's Valley Line Southeast and Valley Line West projects.

Suzana provided project advisory services in a variety of infrastructure projects. She has contributed to the development of a financial model to assess the viability of developing the Bremner town in Strathcona County. Suzana has delivered risk analysis and management, cost estimating, and project control services for Light Rail Transit systems. She was also involved with the facilitation of value engineering, risk, hazard, and constructability analysis workshops and prepared project summary reports and infographics.

Suzana designed and manufactured a mount that allows for the collection of force and pressure data whilst bracing pads are pushed into the backs of patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. This procedure allows for the determination of optimal curve correction for a particular patient. She also operated an ultrasound machine to collect patient data during scoliosis clinics.

Suzana designed engaging yet cost effective science projects and computer camps. She also delivered classroom workshops and girls club programming to instill a passion for engineering, science, and technology in youth aged 6 to 17. These experiences allowed Suzana to develop strong oral presentation and problem solving skills through interactions with youth, parents, and fellow staff members.

Suzana collected and analyzed spinal radiographs and ultrasound images in patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. She also used Matlab software to measure Cobb angles on the ultrasound images to determine curve severity and conducted a reliability assessment using IBM SPSS software to compare the accuracy and reliability of spinal curvature measurement on ultrasound images. The research findings are published in the Spinal Deformity journal and were presented to the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital staff.
