- Develop the company’s purchases strategy, policies and procedures aiming at achieving the targeted annual business plan. - Ensure the proper implementation of the approved policies and procedures. - Concur and approve sites materials purchasing budget considering the production volume targets and plan for each site. - Review, approve, and assess the accuracy of developed studies concerning the minimum and maximum levels and the economic order quantity. - Formalize pooling quantities agreements that best serve the corporate interest in terms of cost, quality, payment terms and lead-time - Develop terms of reference, evaluation criteria, evaluation processes and negotiations, for the different goods and services suppliers at corporate level. - Build up and sustain strong relationships with company’s approved suppliers - Study and analyse the key supplier’s performance and prepare reports from which decisions can be made. - Focus on the outside environment and follow-up information from diverse and varied sources which might affects worldwide prices and supplying process. - Develop consolidated goals and measures consistent with the corporate and operations strategies, and issue balanced scorecard on monthly basis and cascade down to sites level. - Monitor sites coordination with clearing companies and officials on matters related to clearing of materials, bonded, customs, import’s licenses, and products registrations. - Ensure maintaining of up-to-dates records for all laws, regulations and official announcements relating to the import’s procedures and conditions. - Monitor performance of site purchasing managers through regular meetings and work review. - Develop and build purchasing team capabilities through preparing training schedules and coordinate providing helpful information to improve individual’s performance in cooperation with sites purchasing managers.

- Supervise purchasing transactions and ensure compliance with approved ‎policies, procedures, and agreed-upon specifications. - Apply sourcing criteria for alternative suppliers and new innovative materials and build ‎up strong relationships with the company’s approved suppliers.‎ - Participate in the bids and quotations preparation and ensure compliance with ‎approved policies and procedures to easy study, compare and recommend the optimal ‎value offers and suppliers.‎ - Continuous communication with stores management about stock transactions, stores ‎capacity, and materials turnover.‎ - Study and analyse the supplier’s performance and prepare reports from which ‎decisions can be made.‎ - Contact and negotiate suppliers and always try to get the best prices and conditions ‎considering the quality, quantity, delivery, returns, discounts, payments methods, special ‎terms - Ensure issuing purchase orders based on the approved purchase requests from other ‎departments and ensure costs within the budget and sign initials within the authority ‎matrix.‎ - Contact suppliers through purchase orders and ask to receive order confirmation, ‎follow-up delivery based on the agreed shipping details to guarantee delivery on the ‎time and in the proper way, fine quality, and adequate quantity.‎ - Participation to develop goals and measures consistent with the corporate and operations ‎strategies, and issue balanced scorecards on monthly basis.‎ - Coordinates with clearing companies and officials on matters relating to the clearing of ‎materials, bonded, customs, import licenses, and products registrations.‎ - Ensures maintaining up-to-date records for all laws, regulations, and official ‎announcements relating to the import’s procedures and conditions.‎ - Monitor performance of his staff through regular meetings and work review.‎ - Enhancing staff contribution and maximize team synergy among individuals through ‎coaching and learning and through conducting periodic meetings.‎

- Ensure updating transactions relating to the stock to maintain always accurate figures of stock levels. - Ensure all items and RPM balances are accurate and quantities are in safe and economically efficient ranges - Receive monthly forecast from sales department and analyze it to request materials reached to Re-Order point. - Control stock levels through coordinating with storekeepers, and prepare purchasing requests to the purchasing team according to the stock levels. - Follow up pending orders status to insure delivery on time and fulfilling sales demand. - Participate in suppliers evaluation according to the approved criteria, search and suggest new qualified suppliers to insure smooth supply chain.

- Contact suppliers to get quotations; study, analyse offers in light of quantity , quality, prices and conditions. - Follow up activities of foreign purchases by inquiring status for the executed orders & assigned shipments & shipping documents. - Study and decide the proper shipping option in light of inventory position. - Ensure the proper documentation for orders and materials receipts. - Coordinate with clearing companies the delivery of materials to the warehouses on time also to provide them all originals documents requested by customs. - Update the transactions relating to the stocks so to act accordingly.

- Receive requests for material & store balance sheet from planning department. - Study offers (technical & commercial); negotiate delivery, payment term & other terms with supplier to take the decision of issuing purchase order. - Arrange for suitable shipping for each order to meet target date at best cost. - Follow up orders and shipping documents with suppliers, forwarders and clearance companies until delivering orders on time. - Follow up with finance department to do payments for vendors as per agreed terms and conditions. - Identifying new sources for the raw materials as per approved criteria. - Continuously recording data for procured items & make daily status report for purchase orders to planning department. - Build budget for each project and present it to finance department for approval.

- Receive Internal Material Requisitions from project managers to obtain offers from approved suppliers and make technical & commercial comparison analysis to choose the offer with best value. - Finalise negotiation for prices, payment terms and decide on appropriate shipping mode to issue purchase orders. - Follow up handling, shipping and clearance for shipments to deliver material to the project’s store on time. - Work with finance to open letter of credit with banks if required.
