Conducting human rights impact assessments and developing human rights due diligence processes aligned with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights for clients in various industries. Helping clients meet the requirements of CSDDD, CSRD, EUDR and other sustainability regulations at regional and national levels.

Managed Felm’s development cooperation and church cooperation programmes in Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi by supporting Felm's local cooperation partners in project planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, and ensuring meeting Felm's quality standards. Programmes focused on climate change adaptation and mitigation and strengthening livelihoods of smallholder farmers and micro entrepreneurs, women’s rights, rights of persons with disabilities, and developing quality of education in secondary schools. Supported planning of disaster response projects funded by Felm in Tanzania and overall planning of Felm’s programmes in the Eastern and Southern Africa region.

Managed processes of meeting legal requirements for operations of Felm in Nepal. Managed work of three local staff members in Felm's Nepal Country Office in a team leader capacity. Managed Felm’s development cooperation programme in Nepal by supporting Felm's local cooperation partners in project planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, and ensuring meeting Felm's quality standards. Thematic areas included climate change adaptation and mitigation in rural livelihoods, rights of persons with disabilities, mental health support in education, and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH).

Managed KIOS Foundation's partnerships with civil society organisations in East Africa. Supported KIOS Foundation's partners in planning, monitoring and reporting of their human rights initiatives focusing on women’s rights, LGBTIQ rights, business and human rights, health rights, and safety of human rights defenders. Identified and built relationships with potential grantees and prepared grant proposals to KIOS management. Developed KIOS Foundation’s strategy and programme management tools for funding in the East Africa region.

Managed projects and supported clients in developing sustainable sourcing processes, conducting human rights risk assessments, developing sustainability programs and reporting and assurance of sustainability information. Helped clients identify and describe financial and non-financial elements of value creation. Built and managed client relationships.

Managed extractives sector capacity building projects. Facilitated collaboration between the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development and stakeholders in the public, private and third sectors, which enabled designing of a programme for creating structural change in the extractives sector in Zambia. Facilitated creation of a national roadmap and work plan for the ACP-EU Development Minerals Programme in Zambia focusing on developing artisanal and small-scale mining. Provided expertise in implementing a baseline study on the market access, productivity and sustainability aspects of small-scale miners operating in industrial minerals, construction materials, dimension stones and semi-precious stones.

Developed and delivered services on human rights and sustainable sourcing by helping clients integrate sustainability aspects into their sourcing processes and define supplier sustainability requirements. Supported clients in developing sustainability strategies and programmes, sustainability reporting and stakeholder dialogue.

Supported the capacity building of the Local Government Associations of Kenya and Namibia in advocacy and lobbying. Was responsible for the project planning, monitoring and reporting (project funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland).

- FinnWID (NGO): Designed and managed in partnership with a human rights NGO a project which strengthened the leadership capacities of women leaders to promote human rights in their communities in India (voluntary work). - Swallows of Finland (NGO): Designed and managed in partnership with a women workers’ trade union a project which strengthened the livelihoods of Adivasi and Dalit women working in the informal agricultural sector in India (voluntary work). - Swallows of Finland (NGO): Translated articles on indigenous peoples in India and their collective rights. Published in Finnish in Tamminen Tapio (ed.): Sinisten vuorten adivasit – Intian alkuperäisväestö murroksessa. Into Kustannus, 2010.

Prepared studies and training materials on local government in Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland and Ghana.
